Flipside
2007 (This project was part of made in Egypt issue, the new web pick)
We are surrounded and are constantly exposed to visual clutter in Cairo. This exposure ranges from the chaotic array of cars in the streets, air conditioners bombarding building exteriors, intense window displays, or the variety of satellite dishes on roof tops and balconies. "Flipside" conveys a visual inversion of traditional wallpaper designs due to its introduction of repeated exterior elements of the outside world brought into the personal private world of homes.
